Six Seconds

By Drifter

Six seconds
Thirty minutes
It took you the former to give me the latter

I counted
When i came home

(Will you breath for a minute)
(You expected this)
(You knew)

WE DIDN'T WANT THIS FOR YOU!
(I dont want this)
Five days and my car still wreaks
I bleed in 80 proof

(Have 'Her number? Did i leave it?)
(Grab some change, you'll prolly eat it)

We just want to help!
WE'RE NOT THE ENEMY

(always we, mom)
(I'm proud to test his love)
(does he love you enough to deal with your son?)

Get out!
You can't SHIT on us anymore!

(she said us again)

(I can't follow trails of broken dreams)
(I have to find my own path now!)

You even got your sister in this...

(You've already taken her from me)
(Have you looked into her eyes?)
(She needs more than you'll ever know)

What do you have to say for yourself?!?

(if i told you, you'd be in tears)
(you married a momento)
(i can't see you or dad anymore)
(what you did to my mind...)

I need to get out mom.
I'll call you in a few days.
I love you.

(i wish she'd just ask me to wait)
(i can't let her see me crying)
(she cannot know)

(1am - i'm all alone)
('She's already asleep)
(Where the hell can i go...)

(The lake.)

(i should have grabbed a pillow)
(It's nice tonight, i'll be fine)

(God... look at this place)
(There's the streetlight i wrote)
(Thats where bob fishes)
(Why am i always smoking menthols when i come here?)

(I dont need them tonight)
(Not tonight...)

Home is where the heart stops
Blood spills in little drops
Loved ones cry for actions done
And phone wars faught are never won

Love is when the home can stand
In broken arms and broken man
Where womans breasts in beds do lie
And children saved with one blind eye
