Sweet dreams

By BeautifullyRuined

You always said you wanted me
to be the last person you see
before you fall asleep
i`m about to make that happen
only this time you wont
wake up

Hush my baby dont say a word
the safe haven you found
in my arms will now be your coffin
til death do us part
i`ll hold you
the lullabye that is my heartbeat
will soothe your fears on your way
to infinity

peacefully oblivious to the fact
i`m counting down your breaths
waiting for the last
at least your not in pain
just a passing thought of why you
feel so strange

you see my lips moving
but you cant quite hear my words
I`m sorry my love but this
is how it must be
the poison in your veins will
only set you free

You thought you knew me
and you partially did
you got closer than any one
else ever has
and it scared me

I love you more than
i ever thought i could
i just never expected to need
you so damn much
i softly kiss your lips
and tell you my goodbye
I love you my baby
but tonight you must die

Dark, yet powerfully done. A triumph of emotions well up while reading this, so many surely must feel this from time to time. I feel the misery inside. Great write! -Methos
