Wounds heal
but,First they bleed
and then they scar
for remebering
Every wound
a lesson learned
And the scar reminds you
how much it hurt
I have many memories
badges of courage
and stupidity
They have been invaluable to me
they have taught me
everything

I have to agree with everyone else on this - the message is so simple and powerful it really strikes out especially because you don't waste one word in this piece and you haven't overcooked it by thinking it might be 2 short and have to add extra stanzas.
