maggots in my skull

By wicked flesh

Under the weeping willow
Grows a lake of salty tears

In a boat of concrete
She sits, dangles her fears

The worms writhe and jiggle
On that sharp sharp hook

Sleep now; live later
Choked by her bile

She is just an arsenic princess
With her absinthe smile

Those outro lines were very well contrived. I enjoyed this.

10 short lines of bilious wonder. Classical imagery intertwined with the disturbed mind of a sick princess. Excellent.
