Fire Dance
By Chameleon
Under naked skies,
naked man danced.
By the embers of firelight
in night cloathed investigation.
Calling spirits upon
apparitions which danced in firelight.
Swimming in smoak clouds
pierced by hands waved
in muscle contractions.
Painted face to confuse
demonic fallen angels,
Man was not scared by his brother firelight.
Howling from soul wretching,
conversing with gods.
Drinks blood of life
toasting sister silence
in primortal emancipation.
Without hesitation,
makes love alone in dirt and pine needled.
Clenching them with his last breath.
More bark in the fire,
wearing leaves as
feathered hats
speaks with night hawk,
sitting crosslegged on tree branches.
Climbing to the top
of old man tree looking
down on his tamed flame heart.
Speaks to no one,
under naked skies,
naked man dies.
Only to awake again,
to ash smoke singing
tales of flaming hearts demise.

This is a fantastic poem - and incredibly similar to some things that have been on my own mind recently. Instant favorite.

This contains an almost quiet dignity. I read some of your pieces before I signed up and must say that you have shown a remarkable eye for genius common knowledge. The detail and wording in this is roiling. Deeply felt.
