May it be Gone

By stargaze0991

Only thinking may it be gone, the shadow drowns me,
sinking in what is unknown, trying to be free,
Once hope arose in optimistic sight,
Once sorrow felt so little in might,
- but now dispair is what I see.

And, my love, wouldn't you agree,
that this darkness is now wound so tightly,
binded in my heart, forever in fright,
- Only thinking may it be gone.

Hearbroken, though if my heart's here is unlikely,
I struggle to the opening so I can rightly,
take the punishment of my plight,
Give the soul some peace tonight
my last thoughts are put lightly,
- Only thinking may it be gone.
