Imperfect Love

By BeautifullyRuined

Callused hands travel over ashy skin
While chapped lips write words of love
using a sandpapered tounge

The smell of dead roses fill the air
and the candles flame flickers and dies

Sweat stained bodies on black silk sheets
THE IMPERFECT LOVE
They find beauty in each others flaws

A hoarse voice repeats whispers of neverlasting feeling
while a shattered heart pounds against cracked ribs

Blind eyes meet filled with fragments of anticipation
while deaf ears listen in

Off key music sets the mood for another selfish surrender
A silent conversation full of meaningless words

The glass lays half empty
while dying of a thirst nothing can quench

Imagining the escape from
bittersweet kisses and candy coated lies

A broken heart stutters
while a hoarse voice whispers words of
IMPERFECT LOVE
But at least the love is real

this actually seems like the only thing that is true love. perfect love is for movies and how often does any of that shit happen? kudos on your real imperfect love i guess.

~seems paradoxical, if there is love like this one, no such thing is imperfect...or because of imperfection it is perfect...orr o well -_-*. Very cool write though
