unraveling my nerves
one restless night at a time
starved for touch
i sample a glimpse of her eyes
imagining them dark with lust
shining in the dark of my room
its stirs my loins to beg
for the solace of damp heat
the scents of yesterday's escapades
rising to haunt me from the pillow
intimacy seems a luxury
in the sullen winter pout
I'm not quite used to
sleeping on my own
i want a lover
to moan by my side
moving in time with
the rhythm of my throbbing heart
