Tension Breaking Beauty in My Face

By Fading_Smile

The futility of my hazel gaze
Find that incorruptible warmth elsewhere
Blanketing false hope over insecurity for days
Your smile bites my conscience bare
Sharp "friendly" words trickled from your lips
And your eyes read nothing but apocalypse

I tripped on guilt, to your satisfaction
Singed by the heat of goodbye
I sweated away pointless confliction
My heart turned to ashes and I'm alive

But I finally found shelter
In different chords,
You always were too sharp

At least,
Thats what I keep telling myself

I always was out of tune
