Rose gardens never were good enough for you

By BroKen-GlaSSHeArT

holy lights shattered in revelation
and the ruins of hypocrites
blessed with powerful friends
but not with a functional conscious

we played dress up in plastic smiles
wondering what it might feel like
to taste heaven in eyes
that look at you not right through

the spider webs we create in desperation
are only as strong as the fear of discovery
do not look back and they will hold
because hell wants to believe in you

black lights tear away
the devil from your eyes
darkness brings liberation from
any sense of obligation

sunset will cast light on
the true nature of his smile
laced with good intentions
that promise nothing in return

stop me before i do something stupid
like fall for the same line again
lest my final kiss bring me
death by razor blade affection
