Surreality

By sole

Blink, try, try.
Pry eyes, pry.

Marble diamonds on the floor
With ivory inlays interrupting.
Reflecting chandeliers above;
Raining wealth and overflowing.

Try, try, try,
pry eyes, pry.

A half buttoned vest
Over a dingy white shirt.
Off balance spectacles
And nails cliffing dirt.

Blink, Blink, Blink,
Pry, Pry,
Trying to open my eyes.

Massive windows
Towering my eyes
Sunlight, white, light,
Bleached walls with yellow dyes.

Lies, lies, lies,
Closing my eyes
Reaching for my guise.

The lies.
A glimpse.
My sleep.
A dreamy scent.

Blink, Blink, Try, Try
Why try

Peeling back the sheets?
Satin skin stitched thin.

Blink, blink, blink,
Pry, Pry,
Trying to open my eyes.

Open.
Eyes.
Open.
Eyes.

My. Dream. Dies.
