Break the Clouds, and Shoot the Stars.
By K_Love
Dancing butterflies.
I’ve shut my eyes.
Shut eyes to the rain on my lids.
Shut eyes to beauty in something so small.
Let’s not dance this time, doll.
I’d rather caress your skin with my hands and feel your bones break with
ease.
Kissed moonlight.
Hang onto the ledge and promise not to let your last finger slide.
We’ve gone to far now.
Don’t look down.
Breaking clouds, shooting stars.
They’d kill us if they could.
Too dark for even moonlight to dream…
And don’t you see, you pretty little butterfly…
You can’t soar in the coming storm.
Wings tear with a heavy breeze.
Orange and yellows.
You’ll fall from a high sky like autumn’s dying leaves.
Mistake that he’s broken you instead of dark nights.
Don’t slip through my fingers.
I’ve only touched you once.
And we thunder our hate letters now darling.
And you’ve created broken bones and untouched surfaces.
But at least I have the sky.
I’ll soar now, love.
Letting this last finger slide through yours.
You’ve touched me once.
And I’ve never liked the taste your heart longed for.
You may have created broken bones.
But I’ve comforted the storm that hasn’t been created.
{yet I’m burying myself in a hole that’s already been dug.}
*Pure Inspiration off of Dying_Angel's - Dancing in the Rain, thank you*

This is a perfect treasure, too angelic for words, with a burning sensation of beauty. The appropriateness of the images to the mechanics of a relationship, this has so much depth and tenderness.

The spacing is very effective as far as form, but the poem itself is pure loveliness. "You may have created broken bones. But I’ve comforted the storm that hasn’t been created." That's so vivid
