Banshee
By AngelicDemonMelisandre
Blissfully...
Staring off into space in my bedroom haven
Unconcerned with the passing of time
Hearing nothing but the sweet silence.
Then...
Screaming coming from all sides blocking off my escape
Knowing I can't ignore what is behind the yelling
Running until I have burning lungs and buckling knees.
Still...
My prescence has enraged the banshee further
My shocked silence is proof of unknown guilt.
Grabbing my arms and shaking forcefully enough that my head snaps back.
But...
The violent summoning seems to have no justification or conclusion
My ears needing to bleed from the forcefull assault.
Tuning everything out I summon strength against her and refuse to cower.
Finally...
After the eternity passes the banshee's shrieking stops
Turning around I slowly walk away on numbed and heavy legs
Wondering silently "Why am I a disgrace?"

Having recently struggled through a Weis series, where banshee is a cute lovable character, I ended up with a cute cuddly impression of this. Not your intent, but I thought I'd so say anyways. ~T~
