Ramblings of a Lonely Woman
By The_Lady_in_the_Fire
He's asleep,
he's so cute when he's asleep...
But that's not the point.
The point is,
I'm
Lonely.
Don't know why.
He's there.
Not 5 feet away.
If I put the laptop down,
and stretch out my arm,
(and almost slide off the couch)
I can touch him.
But that doesn't change how I feel.
That doesnt numb the ache in my heart.
I'm not alone.
I'm
Just
Lonely.
I was so happy,
only a few hours ago.
He was awake.
He was talking to me.
His eyes were looking into mine.
Looking into me.
The ache inside wasn't there.
At least I don't think it was there.
*sigh*
At least I have the puppy
To keep me company.
But where is that silly mutt?
Oh well.
I won't say it again.
It was the last time I'll say it...
im
lonely

I have felt this way from time to time as well. It's like somewhere inside someone or something just, pulled the plug. Leaving us feeling unattached, or disconnected from something that should be greater, yet, we long to be absorbed by others, constantly.
