The Death of Love

By rainbowgoth

Could this be love
I shudder to think
That I may have fallen
Given my heart to a stranger
How could I
When my heart is the one thing
That I have kept sacred
I kept my heart under lock and key
How could I lose it
How could I have fallen
But I have fallen in love
I am sure of it
But as much as I hate it
I love these feelings of bliss
From the moment I first saw him
I never knew love could be this sweet
Oh how sweet his kisses are
I shall miss them
I must strike quickly to save my heart
Driving the knife deep within his chest
While he sleeps like an angel
I cut out his heart
And take back what I have lost
Oh how could this be
Instead of joy I only feel sorrow
Hands spattered with blood
I hide in a corner and cry out in vain
Oh what have I done
Could it be
That I have killed the only person that I have ever truly loved

this is a good piece, if a bit rough... i love the idea of cutting out his heart.
