Blood Streaks
By AngelicDemonMelisandre
You hold me in your ghostly pale, shaking hands
Trying to remain undetected you slowly reach for the handle
The door betrays your presence by loudly creaking
All the people sitting in the pues turn at the eerie sound.
They stare accusingly at you, your grip on me tightens
My tiny green thorns are almost piercing your porcelain skin
You only falter for a second, before you decide to continue
Strength renewed somewhere deep inside, you start to walk.
A eternity passes before you reach your destination
I suddenly feel your rich, warm blood flowing down my stem
Your pain filled hazel eyes start to leak crystal tears
They slowly make a path down your cheek and onto my petals.
Your raging emotions cause your hand to form a fist
This motion causes my thorns to dig deep into your palm
Jagged, uneven breaths are coming from your open mouth
Ever so slowly you fix my blood streaked petals.
Gently you form a new pair of cold hands around my stem
For a few seconds you gain composure and silently pray
With no warning you turn and walk away without looking back
I am alone, trapped forever, stained in your lovers coffin.
