What is it that You Want to Hear...?

i think i might write poetry
based on what you want to read
i know the words that you'll believe
i just let them fall
i don't even know the truth anymore
who i am is so obscure
i've become so insecure
i'm not anyone at all
our love, i thought was "made to last"
let the present fade to past
our roles in life have been recast
am i up against a wall?
i love the thought of all we shared
back when we both didn't care
i just got a little scared
and now its over, now we're gone.
