First Desire, Last Depart

By Loneal

Scented spirituality
departed bliss
loving embraces
a life that I miss, this morn

Damages done
awoken from dream
to the harshness of life
while still you yet seem, with me

Such simpleness sought
recalling then
still warm and at peace
not knowing of when, 'twould fade

Knowing better now
cherished dreams make me hear
I can't help but wish secretly
that you were so near, and mine

This vision is all
I allow me to keep
your face will not fade
from my waking sleep, and heart.

Reading this takes me back...having felt the same way. Love it!
