She Never Wanted [It] To Be That Way

Though her heart is broken, no blood flows from her chest.

She walks along, never smiling, never frowning.

She is just there. Just a decoy.

No one can see her pain, no one can see her past, no one can tell.

She's quiet, and society mistakes that for being shy and leaves her be.

Now as they stare down at her while she sleeps, knowing she will never wake, their tears are genuine for a girl they never knew.

If someone had only stopped for 10 seconds and listened to her as she called for help.

Can you spare 10 seconds to save someone's life?
