The Awakening

By Spiritus_Frumenti

There are things in life which remain with you forever

Memories and passions,

Leaves slumbering on the cold gravel of abandoned paths

Seemingly weighin tons as the wind passes slowly

Time has a way of weeping for what lies besides it

Souls dragged by unsatisfied hungers,

Curiosities,

Those always disenchanting impulses to know the truth

While it perceives in awe and somberness

At how mortals can create eternity through pain...
