The Awakening

There are things in life which remain with you forever
Memories and passions,
Leaves slumbering on the cold gravel of abandoned paths
Seemingly weighin tons as the wind passes slowly
Time has a way of weeping for what lies besides it
Souls dragged by unsatisfied hungers,
Curiosities,
Those always disenchanting impulses to know the truth
While it perceives in awe and somberness
At how mortals can create eternity through pain...
