The Inevitable Question...

By Deadly Embrace

Thorns pull,
Tearing at my skin,
The warm sensation drips. . .
From my wrist,
The lustful feeling..
I yearn for and miss..
I long for a cure,
The inevitable key,
To seal this heart,
To unlock eternity..
"When will my time come?"
As I ask from above. .
The cutting, the scars,
All drawn by love..
To paint my insecurties..
In a shade of red,
The canvas, my body..
With this blood I have shed,
A characteristic so beautiful,
Like the stars in the sky,
And the neverending question,
That shall never be answered,
Is "why"..

"The cutting, the scars, all drawn by love.." This is one of the best ones yet. I am favoring this one.. the visual image of the first six lines brings a thirst that the last question leaves unsated.. Beautifully done.
