6am ulcer
By Dr Benway
Looking at old photos, of people I thought I knew.
Tangled in a family tree that turns in on it itself.
Choking on bile from a stomach I never wanted.
"You made your bed now you can lay in it"
HA, that would be fine if I didn't sleep on the floor.
Never a "sorry", or even "I wish things were different"
only "hope you are doing well"
Sure I'm doing well, no thanks to you.
They say the best revenge is happiness,
but for now I will settle for distance.

GOD your writing is so intense. i adore and hate it at the same time. the essence of pain is rendered so beautifully...but the source and receiver i do sympathize with.

I'm with Six on this one...I love how your pieces are so personal, yet you leave the story open enough for others to apply your thoughts to their own lives.

If you only knew how much I feel this. Some like to hide their pain under layers of metaphor, some just throw it out and let you have it as is. Yours is a constant mix of both, and I can't get enough.
