Obsession

By Cinn

How long does it take to go too far?
How long does it take for you to notice it’s too far?
Will you even notice before it’s too late?

My plans are my secrets,
No one knows how it will happen;

I’ll be the one in the corner,
Watching your every move,
Eyes flashing with wonder,
And my mind with all its thoughts;

You won’t even see me there,
I might as well be part of the wall,
But that will soon all change;

I’ll study your way of life,
Devise a plan for you to belong to me,
I’ll watch you day after day,
Completely unnoticed by you and everyone else,
No one will ever know you’re the object of all my desires,
I and I alone will know all about my inner most thoughts;

I’ll wait for the opportune moment,
When I know you can’t resist me,
I’ll reveal myself to you,
And then you will become mine,
You’ll be with me each and every day,
Mine and mine alone;

But if by some strange twist of fate,
You do resist me and don’t notice me,
My plans will have to drastically change,
And I’ll take my time to make my an infallible plan;

My observations will be more in depth,
And I’ll have to resort to research,
I’ll know every little thing there is to know about you,
Each and every one of your secrets,
I’ll know about too,
You won’t even know I exist,
But that won’t make a difference,
Because in my mind,
You are the only one,
And soon enough I’ll be your only one;

No one in this world will matter,
Just you and me,
And I know this to be true,
It must be true,
You are my one and only,
And I’ve spent so much time,
So much Goddamn time,
Making you become mine;

That’s when people start to notice,
Notice that there’s something going on,
They’ll tell me to slow down,
Be patient,
And accept it if you ‘don’t like me that way’;

But I’ll tell them no,
No no no,
Because I’ve taken my time,
And I’ve been patient,
And I’m sure as hell not going to accept anything that’s not true;

They say I have an obsession,
That I’ve gone too far,
That I need to stop before I get myself or you hurt;

I’ll just laugh,
An obsession,
Ha,
This is so much more than a mere obsession,
This is the whole purpose of my life,
You are the only reason I was even born;

I know they all think I’m crazy,
That I’ve completely lost my mind,
But that doesn’t matter,
None of it matters anymore,
Attaining my goal is the only thing that matters,
And you are my goal,
I know this,
And vow to accomplish my goal,
It is my destiny,
And yours as well,
You’ll be mine,
Just mine,
Forever;

But for now,
I’m just sitting here watching you from afar,
Taking my notes,
And devising a plan,
Without you even knowing I’m there.
