I am Man
By MercyRain
I am the hunter
the native savage
lupine on the prowl
howling, naked at the moon
I am the capitalist
the
businessman
pouring the whole of my essence
into the nuances
of industry
it breathes with my being
I am the medicine
man
psychenaut shaman
my words guide the tribe
to
discover their own transcendence
I am the starving artist
running the streets half-mad
dirty, grungy
my vision inspires
dreams
I am the sweaty laborer
railroad spikes in hand
my back is made strong
and carries the weight of society
I am Chronos and the Sun
I am the blood of Eros Energy
pumping life
through the veins of Creation
I am
the proud Papá
teaching my children
striving to answer
their celestial: “Why?”
I am the thoughtful lover
boundless in my seas of lust
I am the provider
of his
(her) every want (need)
I am the Dionysian
drunk in
lust de vivre
I am the forest hobo
hands green from the touch
of trees
I am the teenage anarchist
proud soldier of
my ideals
I am the voice of revolution
champion of liberty
I am the ancient guru
on a porch rocking chair
filled
with wisdom tidbits
and the memories of youth
I am
the y-chromosome
the witch with his wand
I am the essence
of masculine
in his every aspect
I am
Man

me-ow. wow mercy this is definatly awesome from a woman's p.o.v. As I read this I could picture you I could identify with the thoughts and feelings but at the same time the female part of my mind is going "damn!"

not because i am actually attracted to you personally but the things you said in this poem are the kinds of things that a lot of women look for or expect of a "man" even if they are strong, stubborn and crazy females
