Redefined Beauty

By Deadly Embrace

As dark as the night,
Beauty blooms..
Like a withering rose,
Brushing against the wind.
And the tears that fall,
From such elegance
Fade with time,
Yet replenish with..
L.o.n.e.l.i.n.e.s.s.

As bright as the stars,
Flickering throughout the night,
Like the characteristics of the scars
You'd rather remain hidden..
Yet, they're drawn from such beautiful art.
As a blank canvas
Painted with purity of blood.

As frail as your heart,
Broken over time..
Soaking up happiness
Only to be shattered again
By such ignorance and bitter words.
If only it were that easy
For beauty to be recognized
Instead of overlooked by judgement..
