Alone
By Spiritus_Frumenti
I am the one,
Who pursues an ideal, an essence,
Lying immutable in the distance
-
-
-
Alone I will interpret,
Why the past extends farther than the future
Why there is abandon among desire,
And why there are fires in places that do not rain
-
Alone I will wander,
Where the oceans meet the horizon,
Witnessing the clouds descend,
Followed by a sky falling without a reason
-
Alone I will wonder,
How it's possible to bury your own God,
In cemeteries of sentiments,
Kneeling with flowers in your hands
Wanting to pray, knowing there is no one to hear you
-
Alone I will ponder,
What is behind every movement of the wind
If this is where our whispers reside
Along with every will to understand,
Why the sad and the beautiful feel so close together
Why the tears of a birth and a funeral
cannot be told apart...

You are a philosopher, if you ever find out the answers to these questions, let me know. S. PS When you pray there is one who hears, yourself.

This is untouchable by anything, you are not alone, but the feeling won't cease despite that...we struggle, we moths by the flame...those that ponder are of greater stuff than those who never wonder...
