To The American People
By ThoughtsOthoughts
I am a democrat
I did vote for kerry
But i am not here to tell you that you
The person who voted for Bush
Is incredibly wrong
I want to make sure you understand what you did
And why you voted for the man I am against
Being on one side or another isn't my problem
Its the rights I could lose which bothers me
I don't want to loose my rights to choose
And I don't want to loose another friend at war
This war is upon us and I know there is no end in sight
This democrat is willing to accept Bush one more time
If that is what the people want
If you believe in something, then I hope you voted
Honestly, the person I will hate the most
Are those who had not voted
So please understand
I do not hate the Bush fans of the year
I just want to send a message
To the American People
That half of you, made this choice.

I think that people that don't vote, don't deserve the right to bitch about the world. That's just my opinion though.

I disagree with both aspects of this. Bush AND Kerry are both going after the same thing: world domination. Open up your eyes... America no longer exists as the land of the free. ~Heather

Politics is such a passionate topic and I usually avoid discussing it, because someone always gets too heated about it. In fact I have never even commented on any of the political posts or topics on DP except for this one. I don't believe in being loyal

* loyal to one party because they both have their pros and cons and you are basically voting on the integrity of the candidate and just how many truths is he telling vs lies.

I find it rather frightening that Bush is now a lame duck. He will have nothing to account for at the end of the next four years; and here we sit facing North Korea, which really does have weapons of mass destruction.

Agreed. I gotta say, I'm a Bush girl and I am VERY impressed with the way the democrats and "Bush-Haters" have handled this. I expected riots in the streets. The hardest part is yet to come, we are a nation divided still. Nice. -Glass
