T R[us] T (this is sooo old...)

By Amanda Parnell

*I am really proud of this work.
I have put just about every feeling
I am getting from this issue.
If you are wondering what happened,
I'll just say this, he kissed her
with the lips his kissed me
the day he left.
Hope you enjoy it*

We sat there.
Arms around each other.
Standing at the luggage counter.
Expressing words from my
undying heart.
And taking in what little
you have to say.
You love me..
you-say-that

k n o w i n g

My trust is rare.
And I Believed you.
I gave you my trust.
But like a fool that I am,
I didn't look closer.
I should have.
Like always,
there is a problem.
Her.
You said your words
and chose them cafefully.
A little to careful.
How.
Wait...
W H Y
would you do such a thing?
Look deep into the word trust.

T R [us] T.

With out the us,
there is no trust.

Thoughts running back to
the luggage counter,
and the look in your eyes.
Why didn't I see it before.
The luster was gone.
Along with the us.
This is all that is left inside of me.

this is lovely and quite sad. but the wording is perfect and it gives that feeling of emptyness, of caving in. very good. ♥
