Crimson Night
By Spiritus_Frumenti
My soul I could hold no longer
From the stillness of the sea,
Which ensues fervent visions,
To a sad remembrance of you
-
Laying here, pondering,
As the air of winter tinges my cheeks
By the shores concealing,
Such memories of our love,
Still visible
In the sand so cold and heavy
-
How my heart tugs
At the eternity of the oceans
Swallowing my tears
Carried away into a place
To descend down a cataract of sorrow
Very well hidden from the world
-
How my body collapses,
To the consuming ambiance of night
Alone, in a space I shared,
As it seethes inside
How the kindling has died
By the waters so dark, so serene,
With a glow of sweet moonlight...

I have a painting hanging in my room that seems to be the painted version of this work to the last detail. I'm a litle freaked out. It's amazing. Heart clenching, silky and silver and wet- but it still freaks me out.

Absolutely brilliant. Your beauty reminds me of a darklit night with the moon so low overhead...mysterious and lovely.

Damn.. the weight of the emotion in this brought my heart right down to the floor.. so beautifully, delicately worded, but heavily saturated in sadness.. perfect work here, each stanza stunned me into awe.

Goodness...this just wept before me, and how I yearned to wipe away its tears. Excellent piece.
