I was never quite lonely before

By aXe FactoR

Ever since you’re gone
Which was quite a long time ago
I just wanted to let you know
I was never quite lonely before

Days without you were still filled with thoughts
(of you)
I still play the love songs we used to listen
(I just have to)
Silent tears greet my pillow every night
(they were just trying to be friendly)
I kept all our photos the way they were
(you’ll never know, but they still brought a smile to my face)
My walls, they've started singing to me...
(at least I still have company)
I still smile at my friends
(well, at least I tried…)
I realize that I actually loved talking to myself
(yea,... really… …)
Without you, my life doesn’t seem much of a chore
(does it really seem so?)

So, tell me
Was I ever alone?
(No, I don’t think so)
See, I told you…
I was never quite lonely before.

This was very interesting - a unique style. I must say I relate: it's quite pathetic how I cling to that old photo... Anyhoo, great piece.
