Night Vision

By LoneWolf

In the night I dream
I'm crouched in the forest
Silvery moon shining
Upon gleaming white fur
I shake off the rain
And dew of the night
And then I'm a mother
Tiny baby in my arms
I cradle him and he smiles at me
And suddenly he is gone
And my lover takes his place
Gentle touches full of fire
And then I must blink
He is gone as is told
The forest has returned
And I shake my muzzle
Cry aloud until my
Waking hours
When I arise in my lover's arms
And realize what I have seen
