616.
By Exodus
A hilltop view of this town
The swirls of indigo
Intoxicate the irritated city
Of rabid dread and blood
Infectious screams
Pour out onto the streets
Everyone must face their demons
Now
You and your pull-string heart
Scraped your knee on the sky
On your way down
Havoc spreads through this world
Like a rebel disease
Without a cause, or meaning.
The lone star, strives on darkness alone
Show me how to shine.
Shape shifting like sand on ice
Smoothing out the flaws
You painted me one thousand colors
And my crimson existence always
Seemed to bleed through
You tried to change me
This world is so fucked up
And the iris wilted with the dying sun
Hatched on to the sky,
Tearing the weak down
They drown in their sorrowful ocean
The waves signify their hollers
As they roll under, sink beneath
The clouds
So high off the ground
Reaching, they pull me up
My eyes burn as I come closer
To the essence of my being
Its glares back at me
Like a twice rotted mirror
In the lands of dead green
The sky shimmers black
As well turn to ashes
Falling like stars
And still our eyes stay shut
Afraid to face our demons
Afraid to laugh back, in the face of jesus.
A hilltop view of this town
The streets mudded with oil
And greed
Reflecting a sinister sky
Six One Six
It’s too late

People wonder the point of life, but you can't find it in a world full of hate, a world which flourishes with pointlessness.

Definitely an awesome poem... it's saturated with great images and interesting lines. For some reason, I liked "sinister sky" a lot... it's simple and complicated, somehow... good stuff... keep it up!
