Smoke and Mirrors

By Exodus

I’d give anything to bleed.
Give anything to hurt.
And instead of who I really need
Its you.
Always lost and lingering.
An icy glare for ignorance
And you are the barbed rose that cut
A bloody streak through my heart
Open and ready for infection.
Built in stories, each one so different from the last
Ready for the silence and hatred of your affection.
And one more day until your structure falls
At fault to angry wind like glass.
You’re nothing but shards of an empty sorrow.
But you still have the edge the drives me off.
And in this moment I fell in and out of love with you.
There’s no time for goodbye.
Just let me leave.
Walking away from you was never so easy.
But now I know what made you so intriguing.
You’re just like me.

"you're just like me" I don't know what to think of people like me.It's hard enough living with myself.I feel your pain, the loss of one whom is like yourself, yet you love more

Nowherer is right (and has a cool name, too). Also, awesome ending... that's a lot to think about. I don't know how you get better every time, but you do...
