This Simple Love
By Midnight Phoenix
Dear Love,
I’m thinking about you again tonight
Falling asleep with my thoughts wrapped around you
I’m dreaming about you again tonight
Since when does dreaming ever do me any good
I guess I can hope you feel the same way
Sometimes I feel waiting wastes my life though
So when you’ve had time to grow on your own
You’ll be the first to hear that my heart belongs to you
This may sound cliché or generic but this is how I feel
My dreams remind me every night
Would I be sacrificing everything if I opened my mind to you
To tell you that you make this feel right
So cross my heart
It’s open wide
If you’ll believe what I believe
We’ll make it perfect in time
This simple love

This makes me very sad. To know what you are capable of, and to know that you are selective about who you show it to.

It's always great when the author can master the waves of meter with the theme, and have it all sound...so right and together. Was a pleasant read, soft and slow...and just a telling. ~JMDW~
