The Lie That Binds

By Loserland

When a man chains a woman in a cellar
And keeps her a prisoner for years
Feeding her scraps, occasionally bleeding her
He is deemed a monster with a sick twisted mind
An inhumane human of pure evil
What about a woman with her chains wrapped so tightly
Around a man it cuts off circulation
A woman who holds a man hostage from himself
A woman who selects a man’s navigation
A woman who stops the blood flow
To the part of a man’s brain that dreams
A woman who uses love to bind
The man’s soul purpose for living
A woman who without resistance
Rapes a man every night
A woman who breaks a man into failure
Is this not just as hideous and cruel?
A loss in the fire that makes being human tolerable
A tragedy in the becoming of a responsible adult
A surrender to death before being deceased

good question...I also ponder how double standards can plague such a supposidly 'open-minded' society...well done
