This reminds me of the book "the things they carried" it's a war novel but instead of focusing on the battle the writing focused on what they choose to carry around with them. Which told you alot about a person considering they couldn't carry much during war time. I really enjoyed this and I think sometimes just describing the little things and seemingly insignificant tidbits sets the mood of the story much better than a long drawn out description.

I read this a few hours ago and held off commenting because I couldn't think of anything to say. I still can't think of anything to say, other than this made my halloween night.
