Shapeshifter

By whisperingwalls

Shapeshifter;

Startled awake
 exuding a dream

where within
I am a shapeshifter
; persecuted by the burden.

As they hunt
coaxed with bloodlust

my pups and I jolt for the shore
serenaded by capricious waves
illuminated by the wicker moon

;A White Doe.

As I stumble adrift amongst daybreaks rays
 I tranquilize my soul
buoyed by the knowledge
that those hunting the beast within
transfixed venom

whereas I surivived
;untainted
;a pacifist
;a shapeshifter
;a moonlight refugee

 My pups are safe again.

Interesting...a pacifist werewolf piece. : ) I definitely loved the imagery and sensation you created of being hunted. Well done! Ciao, T/S Scholar

Glad I was able to surprise.

What a thought! If humanity could move with the waves as one, we would have much less sorrow.
