Love is Non-Exisistent
By Shikiryu
Love is non-existent; its an abstract thought,
A combination of feelings,
A changing mask of emotions,
Mainly euphoria, joy or happiness.
Love is nonexistent; its a mere byproduct of human longing,
They search for what is unfathomable and unreachable,Â
They confuse minor things wtih "Love",
They fumble, blunder and make fools of themselves.
Love is non-existent; hatred and anger dominate,
Hate rises like a fire in the wind, stirring a hunger deep within,
Priming our primal need for violence, for bloodshed,
Hatred is born out of "Love",
Our compulsive need to protect and cherish.
Our savage vengeance when provoked or threatened?
This gives rise to hate.
Love is nonexistent; Hatred is all there is,
Hatred is born out of stupidity,
Our euphoric dreams of something which will never be.

Love can be many things: a fleeting emotion when first meeting someone, an excuse to bear arms against another's cause for the sake of protecting our own, and so on. Hatred is just as tangible and even more so in result to one's love being driven to obsession. A very good read indeed.

Again, drawing a lot of parallels between the two of us, love can be a fickle thing...feelings are dynamic to a fault, the love of today can be the loathing of tomorrow and yet: we take that chance, time and again, because love can somehow validate us, make us feel whole after running on empty for longer than we care to admit. It's no wonder some would choose to write it off, and say it simply doesn't exist: the real thing is just so difficult to find. To inspire that kind of musing from me is a hallmark of the underlying gift you seem to possess, as I said before, nurture that gift.

If love is non-existent as you say than how can minor things be confused for such?

actually we look at these things and magnify them: try to feel something more than what is there.

Yes you are right and at times new love is very overwhelming and without wanting it to be more than it is can seem like that all on its own. Like they say hindsight is 20/20
