create the time 
within thought

embrace me with sodden soil 
the wounds of a barren landscape 
lose themselves in shifting sands 
hands outstretched beneath the soil 
pleading for light yet not willing 
to forsake the heat found in shadow 
rivulets of dirt cascade down my spine 
backward to the downward motion 
of voidal vortex spiralling 
all is in reverse as I sink 
to yet another surface 


subdermal 
attrition 
laying the 
twisted path 
for a mental 
submission 

chords struck 
with violence... 

subliminal 
insurrection...
 
heart bowing 
down to winds of 
future plight 

...the cognition of composition 


fleeting thought returns 
from subconscious boundaries 
and finds itself whirling within 
pools still to even a pebbles ripple 
another world within yet also without 
no warm earth here in these razor breezes 
a windswept consciousness in desolate surrounds 
takes tentative steps toward a pale rose dawn 
and in doing so violates the security 
of what seems like an eternity of solitude 
and the palms itch to find a spade 
to bury everything once more

desecration 
yet can the 
core withstand 
to be cupped 
in the hollow
