Memories of a Couch.
By jodeanna
This couch has seen
many people come and go
throughout the years
but I can't lie on it
with anyone quite like
I could with
you.
I was curled up to another
just the other day,
and the sun hit just right,
causing me to inhale sharply
when
I looked down at him
and only saw your face.
Instead
of his sleepy grin,
I saw you looking up at me,
smiling
teasingly, as you
flashed me those damned
hipbones that
you know
drive me crazy.
Instead of his eyes,
gorgeous though they are,
your own brown ones
drilled into
me, tear-filled,
as I tried to kiss them away,
putting off
that last goodbye.
I couldn't look him
in the eye for
an hour
because you were all
that I could think about
and my mouth didn't work.
You're still haunting me.
I really need a new couch..

This is a great piece! I have felt this way before and understand how you feel.. Burn the couch, keep the memories you want, and no more!! 10/10

Very intriguing, and so passionate. So many emotions can take place residence of a common couch and bring back precious memories. Love the ending as well, quirky and very cool.
