Ripped Open and Naked
By spring hews
I laid my
heart out on that dirty table, waiting for you to pierce it with your forked
tongue.
When you did, I was not surprised to find myself weeping tears
that not even time could heal. Pain that would leave a scar so deep that
it tattooed the soul.
Shadows will forever hide the lovers breath
that reeked with romance and possibilities.
You became a murderer
of a once beautiful thing, but you are not the only guilty party, for I
was the one who bared the naked flesh of my throat to be slit.
