brass and bruises

By eidos

I once bathed in your elegance.
until you wrote poems with those fingers
the way Miles Davis slammed those keys.
and I felt the need to tell you,
that your life is much more than a few notes
that no one fully appreciated
anyway.

This is beautiful. With my minimal attention span I love short poems that contain depths. I read adoration, regret, loss and pain between the lines of this and it was beautifully captured.
