The Golden Years

By DarkReality

The baby boomers are fading now
Eaten up by their own derisive assurances that everything was going to be
                  just.perfect.
Smiling at the notion of old age
       So peaceful
Those smiles are stil there. Just plastic and nicotine stained now
Forgotten and abandoned by those they saved
so foolishly saved the world for
Rotting in a prison of flesh
Still so sure that WE are the ones who got it all wrong
Demand gratitude, and I will show you the true meaning of free will
Tell me again, Sir, how stupid those young kids are
           Cause they dress a little different/look a little different/think a little different
And am I really a whore Ma'am because I got pregnant before I was married?
Fuck "old fashioned"
    More like stagnant
And before you ask me to show a little respect to my elders, just remember
         :you get what you give
