The Door
By GoldenBlack
The Door
Standing at the foot of this strange door,
Wondering have I been here before,
My heart begins to race,
This must be a magical place,
With excitement I open the door,
The black seeps in consuming the floor,
The rush of fear has now set in,
What did I just begin,
Black is now all that use to be,
Black is now all I can see,
Wondering what could have been,
Wishing for light again,
I see a spot that is bright,
I run to it with delight,
As I peer though this key slot,
I feel the door is getting hot,
I see myself on the other side,
I scream, you need to hide,
I can see the smile on my face,
And the excitement that made my heart race,
Laughter begins to fill my ear.
Now I feel nothing but fear,
Knowing that I will be back,
Beyond this door into the black!
