Sail Away From Me

By Dragonfly

My tears provide the ocean of which your ships take sail
My breath is the wind that blows you to a coast of pure adventure
For your happiness is my sunshine
But in your wake you leave disaster
That which I am to clean

Midnight showers clean and swift
Running down my face
Midnight stars seem so far
Away without your grace
Leaving me alone

Your smile is my sun
Your laughter is my heat
Your kisses are sweet melodies
Your voice the sand against my feet
Leaving me breathless

Darkened rays fill my sight
As the morning facade begins
A smile painted on my face
A secret that I live
Only for a memory

Sail away from me
With your petty dreams
Of happy endings
That never seem close enough
Or far away enough from me

Sounds like you may be the man in the middle, so near and yet so far maybe. This was a beautiful characterization of slowly being tortured by something unattainable, or feared perhaps. Cheers and thanks PD.
