You're Not The First

By Withering petals

We'll die today,
Looking the way we do,
We'll die today,
Still thinking of you.

I cried today,
All the tears I cried before,
I cried today,
Jigsaw puzzle of a broken soul.

 I lied today,
To myself,
It's true,
I lied today,
Hoped that it might be you.

 I died today,
Wishing it was through,
I died today,
Wishing that instead,
it was you.

Here on the table of broken hearts,
Crimson spattered canvas,
Torn and ripped parts.

 I'm bleeding today,
From the pit of my very core,
I'm bleeding today,
All of my "bones and joints are sore."

 Screaming all day,
Carelessly left alone,
Screaming today,
Slashing glass through bone.

I was cheap today,
More worthless than usual,
I was cheap today,
