Sorrow

By Dragonfly

Dragged into the darkness
To the belly of the beast
faced with all of my sins
for which it was to feast

Dancing with the devil
life now on the line
A tango dipping between life and death
A moment lost in time

Smother in your sorrows
As I lie down in my bed
perfect little memories
dancing round my head

Petrification at its finest
roaring with its might
Broken into pieces
losing its last fight

Drowning in his sorrow
Am ambitious man without a goal
Building up to the day
His anger swallows me whole

Skipped into the darkness
hoping to spread some light
Turning out to be the darkest being
A shadow of the night

I really enjoyed the image of the tango here, bridging a connection between living and death- very creative touch. The lines are also original with language- not an easy thing to do.
