Just another love story

By Dragonfly

The cherry blossoms begin to fade, their petals lighter hues
wishing they were still of days when spring had let them bloom

A concept of sorts just out of reach, a ledge to catch my fall
but just as to it i begin to reach, it flattens against the wall

You talk of other flowers, much more beautiful than I
and how you could get them and every other guy

This flower has now wilted, but you can't seem to see
how much this child dies inside when you like others not only me

And what was once of rainbows is now a room turned dim
because with your constant ridicule i no longer will to live

I wish that you would wrap me, in your bed of lies
a perfect little sanctuary for me to run and hide

But you keep me in the open and let me hear you say
how you wouldn't be surprised if we ended any day

Our love is milk, and has an expiration date
and it ends too soon according to you and time is running late

You talk of what you will do with the fish in other seas
and how you hope I don't mind these plans are not with me

I should have flown away by now after you had came
to the decision that me and you will never be end game

I will not  give up on you even if you want me too
for I feel I have a chance and maybe you do

Wrapped inside my blanket of lies
i slowly try to hide from all of your demise

If you don't want me set me free
so i can find somewhere who wants me to be

Just another love story; just another lie
because in it is another story that always has to hide

Ah yes, the given and the real reasons are often two separate things. MOve along and don't look back - familiarity and comfort zones are a trap. But it is nice to have a roomy to share the rent perhaps? Thanks Barney.
