Apart

By Dragonfly

So many people falling in and out of love these days.
Making life more dramatic than those Shakespeare plays.
A tragedy of stories coming on up.
But I'll keep it strong so keep your poison out my cup

I don't want drown in your pile of lies
Wanna live to see the next sun rise
I want to be the man I was the other day
But I seem to be going the other way.

When life falls apart
and your back from scratch at the start
still wondering what she thinks when beside you
still wondering which words were lies and what ones true

And I ain't got no rhythm barely keep rhyme
But my heart keeps that rhythm with frozen time
Keeping the seconds keeping up pace
Even as your heart begins to lose its last race

Just lie beside me this last time
Forever doesn't seem that long as long as you are mine
We can never ever be apart
Because even when you are missing you're living in my heart

NOt sure if drowning in a pile of anything would be the right metaphor, but very nice sentiments expressed and hope she returns the devotion, thanks.
