Learning to Lead

I've never been much for emotion
when it comes to talking words.
Always used to typing
never being heard.
Today I stood, a leader
in a riot deep and rich
Speaking words of protest
which hit
a piercing pitch.
Today I no longer followed
nor stood
among a crowd
Today I was a leader
my words singing loud and
proud
